🗂️ Dashboard
What am I looking at when I open the Dashboard?

The Dashboard lists every case on file, with its current status, property, and key dates. It's the starting point for finding a case and jumping into its detail page.

How do I find a specific case?

Use the search and filter controls at the top of the Dashboard to narrow the list by status, county, or property owner. Click any row to open that case's detail page.

What do the status colors mean?

Each status has its own color so you can scan the list quickly. For the full list of statuses and what triggers each one, see the Status Workflow Reference in the Resource Section.

How do I start a new case?

Use the New Case button on the Dashboard to open Intake. See the Intake section below for what happens next.

📝 Intake
What happens when I submit a new case in Intake?

A new case is created and set to Accepted status. It's assigned the next File Number in your sequence and immediately appears on the Dashboard and in Reports.

Where does the File Number come from?

File Numbers are assigned automatically, in order, scoped to you and the current year — so numbering restarts each year and never collides with another arbitrator's cases.

Which fields are required to save a case?

Required fields are marked on the form itself. Everything else can be filled in later from Case Detail — Intake doesn't need to be complete on day one.

Does the platform calculate the Deposit or Arbitrator Fee for me?

No. Deposit Amount and Arbitrator Fee are always entered manually, based on what Comp communicates for that case. The Fee Schedule in Resources is there as a reference, not a calculator.

📋 Case Detail
How do I update a case's status?

Change the status field on Case Detail. Some status changes trigger automations — for example, updating related dates automatically. See the Status Workflow Reference in Resources for the full picture of what each status means and what follows it.

Where do I enter payment and fee information?

Financials live on Case Detail, including Deposit Amount, Arbitrator Fee, and Amount Received. All of these are manual entry — there's no auto-calculation.

Can I edit a case after it's been submitted?

Yes. Case Detail is fully editable at any point in the case lifecycle, from intake through ruling and payment.

📊 Reports
What does Reports show me?

A summary view across all your cases: total fees earned, total collected, and total outstanding, along with case-level breakdowns.

Why is my Outstanding total different from what I expected?

Outstanding is calculated as Arbitrator Fee minus Amount Received, per case, then summed. If a case is missing one of those two fields, double-check it on Case Detail — an empty field is treated as zero.

Can I filter Reports by date or status?

Yes — Reports is filterable by status and date range so you can pull a summary for a specific period or subset of cases.

📚 Resource Section
What's the difference between Resources and this Help page?

This Help page explains how to use the platform. Resources is a reference library about the arbitration process itself — fee schedules, workflow guides, and Comp links — plus your own personal notes and documents.

Can I add my own reference material?

Yes. From Resources, use Add Reference Note for text (custom checklists, county notes, template language) or Add Reference Document to upload a file — PDF, Word, or an image, up to 10MB.

Uploaded PDFs currently open in a new tab rather than displaying inline in some cases — a known issue being worked on.
Where do I find the Fee Schedule or Comp links?

Both are in the static reference library at the top of Resources, along with the Status Workflow Reference and dismissal/withdrawal guides.

⚙️ Settings
What can I customize in Settings?

Settings controls your account preferences and navigation setup, along with any arbitrator-editable content you manage elsewhere in the platform.

🔐 Account & Sign-In
How do I sign in?

Sign in with your email and password on any page — you'll be prompted automatically if you're not already signed in.

Is my data visible to other arbitrators?

No. Every arbitrator's cases, resources, and file numbering are kept separate — nothing you enter is visible to anyone else using the platform.
